Groundhog Rock Crawl 2024
The annual Groundhog Rock Crawl is hosted by the Deschutes County 4-Wheelers, formed in 1976 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, promotion and expansion of four-wheeling opportunities.
This is a family friendly event located just outside of Bend, Oregon.
This event was created to exhibit the sport of extreme rock crawling and what 4x4 modified rigs are capable of.
Rock Crawling or 'Cone dodging' is a judged competition where points are added for penalties. Modified vehicles drive up, down and across obstacles that appear impassable. Like golf, the lowest score wins.
Families participate in the planning, execution and clean-up. Monies collected are utilized to further the trail issues we encounter, by match funding the agencies are able to improve trails, roads, camping and staging areas.
